Jerome and Ashley Kennedy were horrified to discover that their neighbor, 69-year-old Robert Havrilla, had gained access to their attic and was watching them and their baby.
One night, while sleeping, Jerome heard weird noises coming from the attic space. When he went to investigate, he noticed a light shining through a pipe.
He mounted a camera in the attic since he was unsure what to make of the noises and light. It captured some terrible footage. It clearly showed their next-door neighbor snooping around the cramped room with a power drill.
According to sources, Havrilla was rebuilding his own home next door to the Kennedys’ and had built a removable wall to obtain access to their attic.
But that wasn’t all: Kennedy discovered that Havrilla had allegedly bored numerous holes in a shared wall to spy on the family.
The neighbor was arrested and charged with trespassing and stalking. He pled not guilty. He was eventually found guilty of criminal trespassing and was sentenced to probation and a fine.
