While drones have gotten a pretty bad reputation over the past few years, they can capture remarkable footage in the hands of a responsible operator.
Drone enthusiast Evan K. runs a YouTube channel where he regularly posts nature videos shot in high definition from his trusty quad-copter.
He recently filmed the world famous Glory Hole Spillway at Lake Berryessa in Napa County, California.
A mysterious hole had appeared in the lake’s surface after the water level rose a full foot over the spillway and closed HWY 128.
Keep in mind it is illegal in most states to operate a drone within 400 feet of infrastructure like a dam or spillway. Evan is a properly licensed media UAV pilot given permission to take this awesome footage.
