After Donald Trump was elected as the 45th President of the United States of America, children began asking questions.
The media frenzy surrounding the latest election is more than a little confusing for the youngest citizens living in the United States.
One teacher decided to take matters into her own hands and post a message for her students.
Someone took a picture of the note and posted it to the Love What Matters Facebook page,

Her message reads,
Good Morning 2nd Graders!
Today is a very important day, today is inauguration day! This means that starting today, we will have a new president. His name is Donald Trump and he will live at the White House.
However, what happens at your house is very important too! You can make the world a better place by starting at your house.
These are some things you can do to make the world a better place:
– Love yourself
– Listen to your parents
– Be responsible
– Be kind
– Celebrate the differences in others
– Believe in yourself
– Be happy
– Have fun in school
And remember: Love and kindness rule!
