Faith is an amazing thing. It can help those who are lost find salvation at their most desperate hour of need.
That’s exactly what happened for Heather Brown and Tyler Smith after they found themselves stranded in the middle of the ocean. The pair of 17-year-olds decided to swim out to a local island as part of their high school’s annual ‘Senior Skip Day.’
It wasn’t long before the two teens were swept out to sea by a rough tide. They were more than 2 miles away from the shoreline when their muscles started cramping. Tyler and Heather were having trouble treading water, and help was nowhere in sight.
Fearing for their lives, the helpless teens screamed out to God with a prayer for help.
Miraculously, a boat sailed by just moments later. The boat’s captain, Eric Wagner, had heard their screams for help. Heather and Tyler burst into tears when they learned the name of the boat, ‘Amen.”
Eric contacted the Coast Guard and requested some help as both teens needed medical attention.
