After being ruthlessly tossed out of a moving vehicle on the highway, two beagles are finally getting a happy ending.
Trooper and Adam are a fun-loving beagle couple. It’s difficult to fathom how these sweet angels could be thrown out of a moving automobile, but that’s exactly what happened. On Interstate 81 in New York, a truck driver witnessed the entire incident.
The beagles were taken to the Broome County Humane Society, where they were separated and rehabilitated by vets. One of Trooper’s legs was amputated due to his injury.
But these pups’ tales are far from over. They’re finally reunited, and they’re on their way to a new, loving home.
More than 100 people expressed interest in adopting Trooper and Adam from the humane society. Who will be the winning couple? Roger and Connie Miller. They said they knew they’d take the dogs home “as soon as they walked into the room.”
“Adam is just full of life,” Roger said. “He loves to play, run, fetch, catch. And Trooper is just kind of the laid-back kind of dog, but he loves his partner.”
Everyone at the Humane Society will miss the scrappy duo. “It’s really a bittersweet day,” employee Todd Hubik said. “But it’s nice to see them go home to such an amazing family.”
