It’s not unusual for high school romance to lead to sorrow, but for Elizabeth the pain didn’t come from a breakup. After she became close with Scott, a boy at her school, she was targeted by his jealous friends. Scott’s best friend Tyler didn’t like Elizabeth’s social media profile and began harassing her over the phone with another bully. The cruel teens started a siege on her self confidence that weighed heavily on the young girl’s heart.

When she thought the torment couldn’t get any worse, a third bully started to call. This time it was another girl who told Elizabeth she should consider committing suicide. Elizabeth was ready to give up. Elizabeth told Scott she didn’t want to see him again.

Months later Tyler and Scott heard a story on the radio about a 14-year-old boy who killed himself after being brutally bullied online. Something about the story clicked for Tyler, and he realized the monster he had become. He could never take back the damaged he had caused for Elizabeth, but he could do something to prevent it from happening to others. Tyler and Scott committed themselves to the anti-bullying campaign held by the Free To Be Foundation.
