You’d hardly call a woman giving birth to twins miraculous, but a horse? Twin births are almost unheard of among horses, and when they do happen the survival rate is shockingly low.
The fact that both foals survived this birth is nothing short of a miracle according to veterinarian Dr. John Schlipf.
Both foals were born at their owner’s farm before being transferred to OSU.
Barely a week later and both little foals are galloping happily around the farm and are expected to return home soon.
