Random acts of kindness happen all around us, everyday. Sometimes they’re caught on camera, and sometimes they’re not.
Chelsea Todd shared a video of her parents, Gary and Roxann Tackett, to a local Facebook page. It happened a few years ago, but is just now going viral.
Todd described the video:
I wanted to take a minute to share this since it happened in the town of Branson this weekend. On Saturday, my parents from Quitman, AR delivered an amazing Christmas present to a server at Cracker Barrel in Branson. They’ve only known her since the summer from being in the restaurant. Her car was barely drivable and wouldn’t have lasted much longer. She lives in Branson with her disabled son. My parents saw the car and wanted to either fix it or get her something better to last through the winter months. My parents are the most generous, kind-hearted, loving people I know. I’m so proud to be their daughter! Merry Christmas!
The waitress’ name is Cindy Grady, and the Tackett’s had befriended Grady when they first moved to the area.
Grady lives with her disabled son, and drove an old car that had makeshift windows and a beat-up hood held down with a strap.
Todd said her parents are the most generous people she knows. When they found out about the vehicle she was driving, they wanted to fix it or get her something more reliable for the winter months.
Well. they didn’t fix the car. But one day, they had Grady come out to the parking lot and led her to a silver car with a bow on it.
Others heard about the Tackett’s amazing act of kindness and Grady’s insurance and mechanic fees were waived.
