Wasp’s nest has an awesome secret you’re going to want to see





Hate wasps?  You’re not alone.

That’s why a wasp’s nest may be the best place to hide your spare house key or other valuables.

Follow these instructions to build your own paper wasp’s nest and never be locked out again.

Take this idea and run with it.  Build a larger nest to hide a security door camera or keep your game trail camera hidden from potential thieves.

 

Start with some insulating foam sealant from your local hardware store and make a small mound in the corner of a box

Once it has cured, remove the solid foam pile from the box

Scoop a hole out of the large flat side that will become the top of the "nest"

Make the hole large enough to hold your spare keys

Next grab some newspaper and a blender

Tear the paper into small 1" or 2" strips, drop them in the blender, and cover them with water

Blend until you have a good mushy grey pulp

Pour out some of the pulp onto a screen or into a colander then press out the excess water with a sponge

Spread the pulp out to dry, but leave it damp enough to spread around the "nest"

Tear strips from your pulp and press them to the foam. Start at the mock entrance hole at the bottom and add the pulp in overlapping layers
