Sometimes you just need to take a break...

WWII vet drops his bag to trick a passing mom, she cries with joy when she realizes why

On a bright and sunny Florida day, World War II veteran Bill Greenham went to Walmart. The 89-year-bags old’s bag suddenly fell apart, spilling his belongings all over the concrete in front of the business.

Bill uses a cane and is shaky on his feet, so it was obvious that he needed assistance picking up his possessions… but would anyone come to his rescue?

Melissa Whittington and her stepson Phillip arrived and offered to help Bill pick up his belongings and inquire about his well-being. Melissa and Phillip had no idea that while Bill was a veteran, he was also a North Port Police Department volunteer stationed in front of the store.

The officers rigged the parking lot with cameras and microphones while watching the scene from their squad car. They overheard Melissa telling another spectator (who was also a plant) that Phillip’s birthday had just passed, but that due to their family’s financial hardships, they were unable to provide any gifts for the deserving little child.

It was also Christmastime, and Melissa and her family were still finding it difficult to buy gifts.

The cops then revealed the true motive for the covert cameras. This beautiful act of charity is not to be missed.
