Ariel Desiree McRae and her boyfriend Quinn were young, in love, and struggling to make ends meet. After two years of courting, the Tennessee pair felt they couldn’t wait to marry, regardless of their financial situation.
Quinn proposed to Ariel, and she accepted.
Quinn felt bad about not being able to purchase the pear-shaped ring set that Ariel had expressed interest in. Instead, he put money aside for a $130 set of matching sterling silver and cubic zirconia rings.
“Are you sure you’ll be happy with these?” he asked her. “Are you sure this is okay?”
Despite the fact that the rings were neither dazzling or expensive-looking, Ariel adored them. She only cared about one thing: marrying her best friend.
However, while they were completing their purchase, a saleswoman entered the jewelry store. She turned to her coworker with a disgusted face as she stared at Ariel’s rings on the counter.
She said, “Can you believe that some men get these as engagement rings?! How pathetic.”
Ariel watched as Quinn’s heart dropped. Hear how they handled the situation in the video below.
