An 11-year-old boy visited Normady, France for the anniversary of D-Day.
During the celebration, local police wouldn’t allow the little boy to enter the cemetery so the boy decided to take a trip with the American flag down to Omaha Beach.
The young man held a quiet salute for 1 hour. In that time other children began showing up at the beach to play.
The boy was so still and quiet they thought he might be a statue.
Soon more and more tourists on vacation began to notice the boy.
Before he left the beach, the boy was joined by a lone trumpeter who played taps.
The boy’s father prepared the video below to remind everyone on vacation what cost was paid for their freedom. While this video was prepared for D-Day, we should watch it again this Memorial Day and remember the holiday’s true purpose.
