Jessie Lipskin has always known that she wants to live a little differently from everyone else. One day while browsing eBay, the 30-year-old woman found a 1966 Commuter Greyhound bus for sale. She absolutely loved its retro style and had an incredible (but challenging) idea.
“It was love at first sight,” Jessie said in an interview with Apartment Therapy. She immediately bought the bus and started converting it into a tiny home — a process that would take 3 years and $70,000 to complete.
“It was a labor of love, and I felt a true sense of accomplishment once everything came together,” she said.
Jessie was inspired to live a more sustainable lifestyle after watching Mike Reynolds’ documentary “Garbage Warrior.”
“[The film] really resonated with me,” Jessie told Bored Panda in a recent interview. “I began to consume everything I could read, more about sustainable lifestyles.”
Jessie was also inspired by Scandinavian minimalism and used that aesthetic in the final all-white, clean, and modern look.
Her favorite room is her bedroom.
“I love the feeling of being enclosed in my big cozy bed with all my favorite books an arm’s length away,” she said.
