Like most mom’s Rachel Carter fell in love when she saw an ultrasound scan of her baby. As she fawned over the image, nurses pointed out contours on the baby’s head, which meant they already had a lush head of hair.
“We could see that the baby had so much hair,” she said. “They had never seen a scan photo like it before.”
Sure enough, one month later Bobby was born with a full head of thick, dark brown hair. “When he was born, he was like a celebrity,” Rachel recalled. “The doctors were calling people around to come and look, and everyone on the ward wanted to hold him.”
Nurses told the new parents not to be surprised if these dark locks soon fell out or changed color. Rachel couldn’t believe it when Bobby’s hair soon turned red!
Despite the color change, Bobby’s hair is still attracting attention.
“People have to stop to look at him.” Rachel explained. “One lady even stopped her car in traffic and shouted, ‘Oh my God, look at that baby’s hair!”
