Former President George H.W. Bush and his wife, former First Lady Barbara Bush, have both been hospitalized earlier today. This is according to a spokesman for the family.
The spokesperson, Jim McGrath, told news agencies that the 41st president of the United States has been at Houston Methodist Hospital since Saturday. The cause is stated as “an acute respiratory problem stemming from pneumonia. Doctors performed a procedure to protect and clear his airway that required sedation.”
He’s said to be in good condition today and responding well to the current treatment.
Barbara Bush was admitted to a hospital as well as a precaution after she experienced coughing and similar fatigue.
