You probably remember the song, but do you remember the dance that went along with it?

Lawrence Welk introduces a special number for the younger members of the audience featuring The Lennon Sisters (Janet and “The Trio”), Larry Hooper, and Russ Klein. You should immediately recognize the song and remember the classic dance craze that took our nation by storm in the 60s.

Second only to “The Twist,” the “Watusi” had everybody on the dance floor. Larry Hooper had a great voice. Janet was everybody’s TV sister if they were a kid watching the show every week.
