Jackson, a 3-year-old golden retriever, only wanted someone to love, but he struggled for weeks at an animal shelter looking for a new owner. Fortunately Steve Moore rescued him and gave Jackson the life he deserved. With plenty of play time and training, Jackson is as happy as he could be. Jackson has been with Steve for 4 weeks and already his new best friend has learned to ignore distractions and wait faithfully for his owner to return.
Steve frequently practices their routine at high traffic locations. Jackson is such a good boy, even a stranger pulling on his leash won’t get him to budge. The pair were filmed at a local Target to the awe of a gathering crowd. Wearing a sign that read “Dad told me to wait here, Me Waiting.” Steve was amazed at the crowd’s response. He told CBS News “Everybody wants to take him home. I just find that amazing because four weeks ago, nobody wanted him.”
