The price of ivory increasing means more elephants are being slaughtered.
You can imagine how many baby elephants are left stranded and become orphans. In Kenya, there’s an elephant orphanage that takes care of the orphaned babies of slaughtered elephants.
Dr. Dame Daphne Sheldrick, 80, founded the orphanage and has dedicated her life to raising the elephants and other animals. The way Daphne interacts with the elephants is incredible.
It is amazing and so is she.
