Farmer reveals trick to keeping strawberries fresh in the fridge for a month

Fresh strawberries are always a fun treat. You can throw them on pancakes or pound cake or waffles or dip them in chocolate or just eat them raw. They’re good no matter what! But unfortunately, they seem to ripen and go bad so quickly after you buy them from the grocery store and nobody wants to bite into a mushy strawberry.

So one farmer gave a trick to make them last longer in the fridge. The farmer said they’ll stray fresh for weeks or even months.

All it takes is a little white vinegar and water. You put about one part vinegar to five parts water and you just soak the strawberries in the mixture for a couple of minutes. That’s it. It’s not more complicated than that!

After that, the strawberries should last a lot longer than you might expect. Don’t worry, it won’t make the strawberries taste any differently, they’ll be just as juicy and delicious as you want them to be.

Pro tip: Helps to use a colander to drain out the remaining vinegar with no muss and no fuss.
