The “Global News Calgary” co-hosts devoted a whole week to showcasing their unique holiday recipes. Reporter and mother Leslie Horton made a batch of her signature spinach artichoke dip and brought it on live for her colleagues to sample.
But as soon as Leslie removed the plastic wrap from the bowl of dip and placed it on the table, she realized something was wrong. “It’s not supposed to look like that,” she said.
Leslie’s family requested that she make something from scratch for the show’s holiday recipes special event. She had planned to make a fruitcake from scratch, but was too busy and made a simple no-bake artichoke dip instead.
Her three coworkers were overwhelmed by the powerful odor of vinegar after taking a sniff of the artichoke dip. Leslie claimed that the recipe contained absolutely no vinegar!
Jordan was courageous enough to take a cracker and a huge mouthful of dip when it was finally time for the taste test.
Let’s just say that the segment did not come out as planned, but it did rack up more than 6 million views!
