Every time the mailman showed up at the Watkins’ family home, he was greeted by their son. The boy eventually earned the nickname “Matthew Mailman” because he wanted to grow up and be a postman himself.
One day the mailman saw that Matthew was gone. And it continued for about eight months. So they investigated and got the sad news — Matthew had been diagnosed with leukemia.
So the postman worked with the community and fellow postal workers to plan a surprise for Matthew’s return home. He got his own parade of 20 mail trucks just for him. And they even had a few gifts up their sleeves.
It seems like a small gesture, but sometimes they make a big impact! Watch the whole video for the full story.
