In a delightful display of creativity and humor, a family in Chadron, Nebraska, hand-carved an impressive snow sculpture resembling a classic 1967 Ford Mustang GTA affectionately named “Snowstang.”
The work of art was the brainchild of Jason Blundell, a 43-year-old Ford aficionado and concrete plant manager. Jason and his kids meticulously shaped the snow into a stunning replica of the ’67 GTA stored in his garage.
With a mix of concrete wood floats, ice scrapers, and a squirt bottle, they painstakingly crafted the Snowstang over a span of five hours, paying close attention to detail to make it look as authentic as possible.
They took a photo and shared it online where it quickly went viral. Some viewers mistook the snow sculpture for a real car buried under the snow!
One such viewer was Nebraska State Patrol Sgt. Mick Downing, a long-time friend of Jason’s family.
Seeing the perfect opportunity for a fun prank, Sgt. Downing parked his “snowmobile” beside the Snowstang and playfully issued a tow-away notice, leaving the family in stitches.
Sgt. Downing took a video of the joke and shared it on the Nebraska State Patrol’s social media page. Like the Snowstang photo before it, the ticketing video quickly went viral and hit several news outlets.
