When Audrey and Brent Shook began dating in high school, Audrey already knew she wanted to adopt a child from China. However, the couple got pregnant and put the idea on hold. But nine years later, the Shooks saw a video of Lucy. Lucy has Down syndrome and was in an orphanage in China, but they fell in love with the little girl and knew she was suppose to be apart of their family.
