Trace Adkins wrote this song, “Arlington,” from the perspective of a soldier who dies in battle defending freedom and is buried at Arlington National Cemetery. It’s inspired by the real life story of US Marine Corporal Patrick Nixon who passed away in 2003.
This is a beautiful song that reminds us of the risk military servicemen and servicewomen accept when they join.
