Charisha Raylee Gobin, who is pregnant with twins, made headlines this week after a steakhouse refused to offer service after seeing her belly.
The whole incident began around dinnertime last weekend when Gobin was ready to grab some fast food. Her mother and sister wanted a sit-down meal so Gobin decided to “suck it up and be their driver,” according to local NBC affiliate King 5 News.
When the trio of women arrived at the Buzz Inn Steakhouse in Marysville, Washington, a waitress told Gobin she would have to leave. According to Gobin, the waitress said her crop top t-shirt and long skirt violated the restaurant’s no shoes, no shirt, no service policy because it exposed her pregnant belly.
Gobin was livid and asked if a woman who was not pregnant would be denied service for wearing a crop-top shirt. Gobin shared a photo of herself wearing the outfit outside of the Buzz Inn on Facebook with the message, “I was just denied service at the Buzz Inn on State Avenue in Marysville for my outfit. I’m violating the health code.”
Her story quickly went viral and the Buzz Inn issued an open apology on Monday, September 4th, 2017.
Gobin removed her Facebook post after receiving the apology.
