A mom on a budget found a great way to get some more calcium in her family’s diet.
After rinsing out and boiling some discarded egg shells, she spread them over a baking sheet and left them in the oven on low heat.
The end results was some crispy shells that could be ground into a fine powder with her blender.
In the end she’s left with a powder that supplies about 400 mg of Calcium per 1/2 teaspoon. This is a great DIY alternative to buying expensive supplements from the store!
