Donna Alymer couldn’t have been happier when she found out that she was giving birth to twin girls. But when they were born, she had to take a second look.
Lucy was born with red hair, blue eyes, and pale skin. She even had some freckles. Meanwhile, Maria was born with dark curly hair, brown eyes, and browner skin.
Donna is half black and half white and her husband is white. But this is still a pretty surprising story. The Gloucester, England family checked in with Inside Edition 18 years later and the girls have grown up quite a lot.
The twins are still best friends, and people still don’t believe they’re related, and they’ve embraced their individual looks.
