Woman at airport finds her bag and belongings have been completely destroyed at baggage claim

After a flight, Emilie Hofferber was shocked to see that her luggage had been nearly entirely destroyed when she went to pick it up.

Emilie posted a picture of the torn-up bag and tagged the offending airline in a tweet to express her indignation.

She eventually learned what had happened when an airline employee said that the suitcase had fallen the luggage trolley, gotten caught underneath, and then been dragged over the scorching hot tarmac.

When she responded, the airline started a claim for her, and she was informed that it could take up to two weeks for her to get a refund check.

Emilie is less than pleased. As she said, “10-14 days to receive a reimbursement check by mail? In 2022 we’re mailing checks because that’s the most effective way to transfer funds…”
