Trish and her husband Kevin agreed to watch their neighbor’s kids for a few days. Audrey, their neighbor, needed to go to the hospital for some tests, and the results were worse than anyone could imagine.
Audrey had stage two esophageal and stomach cancer and was given a terminal diagnosis. Knowing her life was about to be cut short, Audrey spent what little time she had left preparing for her children’s’ future.
She asked Trish and Kevin to become the legal guardians of her children. Even though they already had five kids of their own, Trish and Kevin gladly welcomed Audrey’s three youngsters into their home.
