Jeff Mann and his wife have a pond in their backyard. During the winter, the pond will freeze.
One afternoon, Jeff came home and noticed something splashing in their frozen pond.
Jeff’s wife figured out it was a dog and started yelling. Jeff immediately grabbed his boots and a rope.
Jeff assumed the ice would break under him, and he was willing to fall-in if it meant saving the dog.
Step by step, Jeff made his way closer to the dog. Jeff kept throwing the rope, hoping the dog would latch on. By the sixth attempt, the dog bite the rope and Jeff was able to pull him to safety.
Jeff said it ended up being the neighbors’ dog who had been playing with Jeff’s dog.
Jeff still can’t believe the dog knew to grab the rope.
What an incredible man, and story!
